Brunch Bingo - 12/22/24
Brunch Bingo was a community fundraiser I conceptualized and led in support of the Alzheimer's Association. Hosted within our memory care community and open to the public, the event brought residents, families, and community members together for brunch, bingo, and a holiday-season raffle.

Bringing the Community Together
The goal was to create an engaging, intergenerational gathering that combined fundraising with meaningful social connection. I developed an experience designed to welcome the public while remaining accessible and stimulating for our memory care residents. We also hosted a raffle featuring donated baskets from local businesses to add another opportunity for the neighborhood to support the cause.
Concept to Execution
I led the event from initial concept through teardown, developing the fundraising approach, soliciting donations from local businesses, coordinating the brunch menu with the on-site kitchen, as well as creating promotional flyers, signage, and invitations. I also managed RSVPs, organized raffle baskets, served as event captain, and oversaw the day's activities.

Brunch, Bingo, and Giving
Raffle baskets were displayed in the community lobby for a week leading up to the event, with tickets sold exclusively to in-person attendees. Tickets were priced at $4 each or three for $10, and additional bingo boards were available to family and guests for $5. Brunch favorites, including eggs, bacon, sausage, and assorted juices, were served at noon, followed by several rounds of bingo. At approximately 2 p.m., the care staff and I selected the winning raffle tickets. After attendees departed and residents settled in for an afternoon matinee, we calculated the event totals and began teardown.
The Impact
Brunch Bingo raised $550 for the Alzheimer's Association! With more than 50 attendees, 11 raffle baskets, and bingo prizes for every resident, the event brought the community together for a successful day of fundraising and connection. Residents, families, and community members gathered for an inclusive experience that combined charitable giving with meaningful social interaction.
